In our activities and dealings, we always behave honestly and responsibly to our surroundings. Our production, products and standard everyday activities are friendly to the environment. We take an active interest in disadvantaged individuals and groups. We support charity, cultural, sports, environmental and educational projects.

The Academy of Journalism and New Media – An integral part of our company’s policies is also the support of education. We educate future professionals in the media field, who acquire a journalism education which in terms of its scope, depth and modern concept is totally unique. The Academy of Journalism and New Media is a joint project of publisher, CZECH NEWS CENTER a.s. and PB – Vyšší odborná škola a Střední škola management (Vocational School and High School), which offers comprehensive education and practice in the field of modern journalism. Our three-year Journalism and New Media syllabus offers full-time or combined postgraduate study.

Šmejdi – We take our responsibility towards those around us, offering protection and support, truly seriously, which is why we have got involved in the fight against high pressure sales tactics. Together with the dTest consumer’s association, Blesk has launched the Petice proti šmejdům petition for better protection of the elderly in unfair product demonstration and doorstep sales. 179 286 people have signed this petition, including the President of the Republic, Miloš Zeman. It was this petition, and the support of Silvie Dymáková’s Šmejdi (Crooks) documentary film which helped in the ratification of a new law on consumer protection. We are also fully aware of our responsibility as a result of our social role and we will continue to look into social topics.
